Thomas G. Muehlbauer – CEO / President / Director / Founding Shareholder
Fortune 500 senior executive experience with over 25 Years of CEO and start-up skills including acquisitions, capital formation and public market transitions.
Prior to founding AVACEN in 2008, Mr. Muehlbauer started an Internet company which was sold to a publicly traded company bringing a return to founding investors of over 180% in 2 years. As a hands-on investor, he engineered the start-up growth and sale of World View, International, providing multimillion dollar returns to shareholders in less than a three-year period.
Mr. Muehlbauer developed his expertise in corporate management working for “Fortune 500” companies. Management positions ranged from Worldwide Data Center Manager, to President and CEO for three mid-sized corporations. He holds a Bachelor of Science, University State of New York.
Jeff Gray – Vice President of Operations
MBA from Indiana University Kelley School of Business, a Master’s Degree in Engineering from Purdue University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from San Diego State University. Over 20 years of management experience ranging from small startup companies to Fortune 100 firms.
Jeff has more than a decade of product development and operations management experience as President/Head of Technology for a test equipment manufacturing firm. He has performed in many managerial roles for a medical device manufacturer: product development, manufacturing, reliability engineering, and regulatory compliance (CareFusion – formerly Cardinal Health, Pyxis, and Alaris). Jeff also managed the test laboratory and staff for the North American operations of a European Notified Body.
He is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. Jeff is the holder of two U.S. patents, with other patents pending.
Ryan F. Jeffcoat – Director of Clinical Affairs and New Markets
Ryan has over 15 years of experience with medical companies like Medtronic Spinal and Biologics, Smith and Nephew Orthopedics, and Janssen Pharmaceuticals. His roles have encompassed business development, sales management, marketing, operations, account management, and supply chain logistics. Ryan’s past market segment responsibilities included orthopedic trauma, degenerative spinal disorders, pediatric deformity correction, limb lengthening, wound management, pharmaceuticals, health care cost containment, neuroscience, and brain injury. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Marketing Emphasis while attending University of Colorado’s Leeds School of Business in Boulder, Colorado.
